Under the bonnet is a twin supercharged 3.0 TDI (Turbo Direct Injection) V6 engine generating 300 bhp. It propels the A6 from zero to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and will push it to a limited top speed of 250km/h. It only needs six litres of fuel for every 100 km covered. The engines is fitted with a start stop mechanism, which stops the engine when idle, and resume it immediately after the driver lets go of the brakes.

The pinnacle of all sound systems is the 1,300-watt Advanced Sound System from Bang & Olufsen. The car connects with Google maps to search a desired destination.
