Audi Q5
Audi has finally brought some class to their mid-class SUV, the Q5. It’s now bears stylish looks, an aggressive front, powerful performance and an exquisite interior. So what has changed? 
With the boot open
It now features a restyled front that consists of Xenon lights with restyled LED outline. It also a new high-gloss black singleframe grill. The grill is charactarized by vertical chrome struts and sculpted Audi rings. Just like all Audi’s the number plate mount is incorporated into the grill that runs from top to bottom. Below the restyled headlights are two huge air intakes with integrated fog lights. 
Side profile
They are painted black to match with the grill. It also has a stylish diffuser that helps push air under it. Colour coordinated side skirts and a choice of either 18; 19 or 20-inch wheels bring out its appealing side view. At the rear are stylish LEDs that are fixed on its elegant rear boot door. A spoiler pops out at the back while two exhaust pipes with chrome tips bring out its magnificent soundtrack. 
Rear of the Q5
The new Q5 has comes with 5 variants with the most efficient being the 2.0 TDI version. This comes with a 2.0, four cylinder engine that chunk out 143hp. It has an average fuel consumption of 5.3 litres per 100km covered. The top of the range diesel Q5 3.0TDI comes with a 3.0 litre V6 engine that delivers 245hp. It will also accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.5 seconds. Top speed is an impressive 225km/h. It will need 6.4 litres of diesel to cover 100km. .
Top of the range 3.0TFSI V6 engine
A new 2.0TFSI with a 2.0 litre four cylinder petrol engine that gives out 225hp is first on the petrol line variants line up. With this one will use 7.6 litres of fuel to cover 100km. The most powerful engine is found in the 3.0 TFSI Q5.
Audi MM1 access dial
The engine is a 3.0 litre supercharged V6. Power output is an impressive 272hp. 0 to 100km is dealt with in just 5.9 seconds. Top speed is an amazing 234km/h. one will need 8.5 litres of fuel to cover 100km. 
Cool 20-inch rims
All four cylinder engines come with a six-speed transmission as standard. An eight-speed triptonic is available as an option for the 225 hp 2.0TFSI and is standard with 3.0TFSI. An optional seven-speed S tronic is available for the 177hp 2.0 TDI version and comes as standard with the 3.0 TDI.
Magnificent high-gloss black singlegrill
The Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system is standard in all models except 143hp 2.0 TDI version. The five-link front suspension and the trapezoidal-link rear suspension ensure give the best in terms of handling and comfort. The chassis capabilities are further boosted by the use of Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC) that ensures the chassis adapts well to any road surface. 
Restyled headlamps and black air intakes
Inside the plush and inviting interior is room for five occupants. Large fabric-upholstered surfaces are visible on the door trim panels. There is also an optional wood or aluminium trim package. Wood or aluminium panels are placed on the dashboard, door panels and near the gear stick.
Luxurious front seats
With the S line sports package, the Q5 comes with a black interior, sports seats and an elegant interior trim package. The rear seats can be folded down to increase overall boot space from 540 litres to 1,560 litres. It can also tow up to 2.4 tons of trailer load further boosting its luggage carrying capacity. Occupants are entertained by the top of the range Bang & Olufsen sound system connected to the 7-inch MMI infotainment system.
Wood panel on the dashboard
The system comes with 3D graphics, AUX /USB ports and a DVD player. The system can connect to WLAN hotspot to let occupants surf the Internet on their mobile devices.
Enough roof in the back
The driver can also connect to Google maps, stream music and play music from a smartphone on the car’s speakers. The driver also has access to numerous vehicle functions thats to a dial located behind the drive selector. It has quick access for navigation, multimedia and and car setting.
Its now official that the Q5 has now joined the class of luxury mid-sized SUVs. Prices start at Kshs. 4.2 million excl. taxes.
