After Honda axed the NSX from its model lineup many of its fans were disappointed. However with the launch of the new Honda NSX Concept it seems that Honda are considering bringing back its first supercar.

The NSX Concept is made of lightweight materials that are visible on every part of its stylish body. It comes with a unique 2 Electric Motor Drive Unit with a bilateral torque adjustable control system; the new hybrid all-wheel-drive system can instantly generate negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering, which Honda anticipates will deliver handling performance unmatched by previous AWD systems.

In addition to the handling benefits of the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system, a powerful next-generation VTEC V-6 engine with direct-injection, works in concert with a dual clutch transmission and a third electric traction motor integrated within the transmission housing, to create supercar acceleration while offering outstanding efficiency.

Honda estimate that a production version of the NSX will go on sale in the next three years. It will be manufactured and developed in America at the car’s factory in Ohio USA. The car will then go on sale all around the world.

It is targeted for people who love a car with true sporting driving characteristics. So if you were a huge fan of the NSX like me, cross your fingers and hope that Honda will bring its motoring icon back.
