BMW 1 Series 3-door


Its might be small, but trust me the new 1 series is premium compact car that offers BMW’s sheer driving pleasure.

BMW 1-Series 3 door
At the front it has a large slightly leaned BMW kidney grille, contoured headlight units and a three-part air intake. The upper edge of the dual round headlights is partially covered by accentuating trim, or with LED accent lighting if the vehicle is equipped with optional Bi-Xenon headlights. The front turn indicators are integrated in the inner light rings of the headlights. The side indicators are integrated in the exterior mirrors.

At the side it is dominated by wide doors. The pillar-less doors open wide to allow easier access to the rear seats. It has stylish wheels and a large window that lets in more light for the rear seats passengers. At the back are two uniquely styled tail lights that are positioned far on each side and are also surrounded by a three-dimensional bezel. If the vehicle is equipped with the optional Xenon headlights, the package also includes tail lights that are comprised of L-shaped LED light banks. The third brake light is integrated in the roof spoiler. 

Its heart
Behind the slanted BMW grill are a choice of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Each engine is fitted to a specific 1 series model. The entry level petrol version is the BMW 114i. This has a 1.6 litre engine with an output of 102hp and 180 Nm of torque. Its top speed is pegged at 195km/h and it will accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 11.2 seconds.
Pillar less door
Average fuel consumption is an impressive 5.5 litres per 100 km covered. Next is the BMW 116i. This has the similar 1.6 litre engine that has BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The engines power is upped to 136hp and has 220Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h takes 8.5 seconds while top speed is pegged at 210km/h. fuel consumption remains unchanged.
Sits lower than its sisters
Next on the list is the BMW 125i. This comes with a 2.0litre engine with TwinPower technology. The engine has an output of 218hp and 310 Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h takes 6.4 seconds while top speed is an impressive 245km/h. One needs an average of 6.6 litres of fuel to cover 100km. The top of the range diesel model is the BMW 125d. This comes with a 2.0litre engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine delivers 218hp and 450 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 240km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

It will use only 4.8 litres of fuel to cover 100 kilometers. Next on the list are 118d and the 116d. Both versions come with 2.0 litre diesel engines. The 118d engine comes with 143hp and 320Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h takes 8.9 seconds while top speed is 212km/h. Its economic engine uses 4.5 litres per 100 kilometers covered. The 116d engine delivers 116hp and 260Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h takes 10.3 seconds while top speed is pegged at 200km/h. Average fuel consumption is an impressive 4.3 litres per 100kilometers covered.
Rear Dark Shadow Apron
The most economical model is BMW 116d EfficientDynamics. This has 2.0 litre diesel engine with an output of 116hp and 260 Nm of torque. It’s also equipped with an optimized power train. It also has better aerodynamic capabilities and low rolling resistance. It will accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 10.5 seconds while top speed is pegged at 195km/h. It will only need 3.8 litres of fuel to cover 100 kilometers.
BMW M135i
The most powerful model is the BMW M135i. This comes with a a straight six-cylinder engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. The 3.0 litre engine has an impressive output of 320hp and 450Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h takes 5.1 seconds while top speed is limited to 250km/h. It will need 7.5 litres of fuel to cover 100km. The car also comes with a customized cooling system, M performance control and engine sound tuning. All cars come with a newly developed six-speed manual transmission. A dynamic eight-speed automatic sports transmission, with gearshift paddles integrated in the steering wheel, is available as an option.
Spacious boot
All 1-series models come with an advanced suspension technology that includes a double-joint spring-strut front axle with stabilizers and a five-arm rear axle in conjunction with the precise electromechanical power steering. Power is sent to the rear wheel while the weight of the car is balanced between the two axles. This, in the long, run helps the car to be agile and also fun to drive.  The M135i comes with Variable Sports Steering and an Adaptive Suspension System with electronically controlled dampers and an M Sports Suspension.
Stylish front
With this installed the M135i sits 10mm lower than its other sisters. The M Performance machine comes with a fixed calliper M Sport Brake System with four-piston units on the front axle and two-piston units at the rear as standard equipment. The system is fitted with oversized brake discs and dark blue metallic callipers bearing the M logo. The M Sport Brake System is also available on all of the other models in the range, in combination with the optional M Sport Package. The car rides on standard 18-inch M alloy wheels with high grip tires. The BMW 125i and the BMW 125d are equipped with 17-inch light alloy wheels, all other models are fitted with 16-inch wheels. Alternatively, a wide range of optional light alloy wheels are available in diameters of 16, 17 and 18 inches.
M interior
The 1-series also comes with a host of safety systems such as Dynamic Stability Control system DSC includes the anti-lock braking system (ABS), the Dynamic Traction Control system (DTC), the Cornering Brake Control system (CBC) and the Dynamic Brake Control system (DBC). Driving Experience Control button located on the centre console allows the driver to select an individual level of tuning for the vehicle. The buttons help tune the safety systems to correspond to the selected mode. The modes include COMFORT SPORT and ECO PRO mode. With the automatic transmission one gets the SPORT + mode that give the vehicle a sporty feel on the road. 
M styled front
The interior is adorned with premium materials that give the 1-Series a posh look. The instrument panel, centre console and door panels reflect the layering concept that dominates the look and feel of the interior. The front seats are equipped with the standard Easy Entry function, giving passengers convenient access to the rear compartment.

With large door pockets, a spacious glove compartment and two cup holders on the centre console, there is ample space for stowing travel items. An optional storage package is available that includes compartments in the rear side panels as well as net pockets on the backs of the front seats. The 360-litre luggage compartment can be expanded up to 1,200 litres by folding down the rear seats.
Classy rear
The 1-Series also come with the BMW iDrive control system. The system consists of a freestanding flat-screen monitor. Depending on the model selected, a control display measuring 6.5 inches or 8.8 inches is integrated in the instrument panel. The car also comes equipped with with remote central locking, adjustable seat heights for the driver and the passenger, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, electric windows, the BMW Business radio, which includes a CD player, six speakers, and an AUX port. The top of the range entertainment system comes with a 12 GB hard disc, navigation, DVD changer and Digital broadcasting (DAB) receiver. The system is paired with a Harman Kardon hi-fi system consisting of a 360 Watt digital amplifier and 12 speakers. 
Side design
The standard interior features Satin Silver trim and upholstery in Move cloth design. Optional interior trims and seats upholstered in Dakota leather (offered in two different colours) are also available. All upholstery variants are also offered for the optional sport seats. Order the BMW Sport line and one gets exterior elements such as the kidney grille slats, the strut and the bezels for the inlet vents, as well as the trim on the rear bumper finished in gloss black.
Other equipment includes 16-inch light alloy star-spoke wheels, black trim for the exhaust pipe and door sill finishers with aluminium inserts and “BMW Sport” lettering. The interior comes equipped with a sport leather steering wheel with contrasting red stitching, a sliding armrest, high-gloss black interior trim and accent trim in matt Red Coral.
Rear LED lights
The look of the instrument cluster is distinguished by special chrono-scales and digits. The car key is accented in red. The tone of the ambient interior lighting can be switched between orange and white, and there is additional lighting for the centre console and the footwells. The next package is the Urban Line package.
Lovely and posh interior
This gives the 1-Series a chrome kidney grille slats with white sides as well as a white strut across the front centre air intake. The car comes with 16-inch light alloy V-spoke wheels or optional 17-inch wheels with a white, gloss-lathed finish. It also comes with door sill finished with aluminium and “BMW Urban” lettering.
BMW 1-Series 5 Door
The interior trim choices of selected cloth or leather seats, a sport leather steering wheel, a sliding armrest and interior trim made of innovative acrylic glass. There is also mood lighting effects with ambient and welcome lights with colour variations of orange and LED Royal Blue or white and Royal Blue. The car key features white detailing. The M135i comes with M Performance equipment fitted both on the exterior and interior.
Practical with 5 doors
It comes with an M front and rear bumper, 18-inch M light alloy double-spoke wheels and dual exhaust pipes enclosed in a Dark Shadow lower apron. The door sills are finished in aluminium and feature “M135i” lettering. The interior details include exclusive cloth Hexagon/Alcantara upholstery, an M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons and blue accent stitching, M driver footrest, M speedometer and an M rev counter with red chrono-scales.
