After a successful launch of the new 208, Peugeot have decided to add yet another powerful version to its range. The new 208 GTi comes with more power, an aggressive design and posh interior.

At the front it has new halogen headlamps with a light signature that gives the car a unique front design. The headlamps which have a rectangular internal structure that uses LED technology for the directional indicators and daytime lighting.

Next to the front headlamps is a gloss black grille with bright chrome inserts. It also features the new floating grill design adopted in all Peugeot models. The grill also beats a GTi logo finished in bright chrome accentuated in red highlights. The red color is painted on brake calipers, grille lower bead, Peugeot lettering on the tailgate and on the grille.

This identifies the car as a GTi version. Chrome touches are also visible on the fog lamp trim surrounds, the grille upper trim and the door mirrors. At the side it has a wider side skirts unique rims and a stylish GTi badge visible in the rear window.

At the rear it has similar LED taillights found in the normal 208. It has a gloss black rear skirt while the exhaust emerges with a trapezoid chromed double tailpipe.

Under the bonnet is a 1.6 litre THP 200bhp petrol engine with 275Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h takes 7.0 seconds. Married to the engine is a six speed manual transmission system.

Power is managed by a tuned chassis that delivers a great driving experience. It’s fitted with the 17″ diamond Carbon wheels, with Storm paint and matt varnish, house 302mm ventilated discs at the front and 249mm at the rear.

Opening the doors reveals a passenger compartment that reflects the paintwork. the door sill embossed with Peugeot name while a colour scheme combining red, black and satin chrome and red GTi are visible all-round the interior.

The dashboard has a red decoration that graduates to black to match the door crossbars. The vehicle performance information is provided via the high-mounted instrument panel. The driver is well supported in the seat and harnessed in black seat belts which have a red edging. This allowing for an excellent driving position that is clear and comfortable.

The feet naturally find the aluminium pedals and footrest, the heels rest on the 208 GTi floor mats which feature a black surround and have a red outline. The hands rest on the small black full grain perforated leather steering wheel have a red overstitching.

The gear knob has an aluminium gear knob with a red side insert while the handbrake is covered in leather with a red stitching.
