Hennessey Venom GT

From a nation that has so much influence in the planet comes one its most amazing creation ever. It’s the supercar the creator had always dreamt of building. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to the Hennessey Venom GT, the next most powerful production vehicle on the planet.
Aggressive looking front
DESIGN
The Hennessey Venom GT borrows part of exterior design from the Lotus Elise. However it’s lower and wider compared to the Elise. It also has a powerful engine, sophisticated brakes and suspension. The body is also made of carbon fibre except the doors and the roof. 

Side intakes

At the back are two huge exhaust tips that spit flames at certain speed. At the side are air vents that help to channel air to cool the monster under the rear bonnet. There is also a spoiler to ensure the rear wheels don’t play about. The result is an aggressive looking machine that cuts through air without any problem.

THE HEART
1200hp engine
Under the bonnet is a 6.2 litre V8 from a Corvette placed in a mid longitudinal position behind the driver. Hennessey then take the engine and up it from around 700 hp to a whooping 1200 hp. 

Rear composed of the huge rear exhaust and multifunctional spoiler

The extra power comes from twin precision ball bearing turbochargers. The engine accelerates its light weight body from 0 – 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds. It will need 15.9 seconds to go from 0 to 330km/h. That’s nearly 8 seconds quicker than the Bugatti Veyron.

Connected to the engine is a Ricardo 6-speed manual gearbox. The rigid gearbox can handle the massive power from the V8 without breaking a sweat. In six-gear the car goes to its top speed of 443 km/h.

Stylish rear lights

To ensure it slows down quickly it has massive Brembo 6-piston alloy brake calipers combined with lightweight carbon-ceramic rotors. There visible behind the massive 20 inch Michelin pilot super sport wheels.

The use of carbon fiber body panels and hybrid wheels construction made of carbon fiber and forged-aluminum makes it lighter than the Veyron. It has a curb weight of 1220kgs. Thanks to the adjustable traction control system the power is distributed perfectly on the four wheels.

Multifunctional spoiler

The suspension system also adjusts ride height according to varying conditions. It allows a range of adjustment up to 2.4 inches (6 cm), enabling the driver to raise the Venom GT in order to navigate items such as a driveway or a parking garage.

INCREDIBLE INTERIOR
Inside leather covers the dashboard, seats and the door. Carbon fibre adorns the speed dial and parts of the dashboard to emphasize the sporty nature of the Venom. The sport steering wheel is covered by leather conceals the speed dials.

Comfortable sports seats

With so much force generated when accelerating the race-spec, deep-side bucket seats ensure that occupants stay secure in there seats. They are also made of carbon fibre and are covered with leather. The interior has also been reinforced by scaffolding to ensure maximum protection incase of an accident.

Only 5 units will be produced for the 2012 model. One has to pay $950,000 to own this amazing piece of American creation.
