Renault Fluence

The Renault Fluence made its debut in the Kenyan market this year through DT. Dobie. Barely months after its debut and Renault have just release an updated model with new stylish characteristics.

Its front end is the same as that of the brand’s other new models, with a vertically-set logo at the centre of a broad black strip picked out by chrome beading which provides the car with a dynamic stance.

The LED daytime running lights and chrome/gloss black inserts also contribute to the newcomer’s modern appeal. The design of the interior is also more modern, including digital instrumentation for all versions. The cabin is as roomy as ever and has been enhanced by the use of new upholsteries for segment-topping comfort.

Side profile with the new alloy wheels

Under the bonnet the new Fluence gets a 1.6 litre litre petrol engine married to a new-generation X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission to combine a seamless, jar-free ride with sprightly driving pleasure. The new transmission system also helps to improve fuel efficiency. The new Fluence will need 6.4 litres per 100kilometers. A new dCi diesel engine will also be available. The engine will need just 4.6 litres to cover 100kilometers.

Redesigned rear

Inside the new Fluence comes with numerous driver-aid technologies like hand -free card with remote central locking, front and rear parking sensors, automatic parking brake plus other cool technologies. Owners will also choose from different trim levels with options like Bluetooth, USB jacks and Renault R-Link multimedia system.

Refreshed cockpit

The Renault Fluence will be available as from next year with Kenya probably getting the updated model before the end of next year.
