The WRX and WRX STI have been in production for quite some time now. Even though the recent debut of the restyled Impreza did not affect the production of the two adrenalin charged Subaru models it seems that Subaru are about to debut the new WRX and WRX STI soon.

This is evident with the introduction of two new impressive Special Edition models. The new models have been painted in an “Orange and Black” custom paint scheme, with Tangerine Orange paint off-set with jet black custom wheels, black front fender badging and exterior mirrors. The Special Editions cars also receive black exterior graphics.

Both models come with powerful BOXER engines that have an output of 265hp for the WRX and 305hp for the WRX STI. The WRX Special Edition produces 244 lb.-ft. of peak torque that is delivered to the four wheels by a standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Cockpit |
The flamboyant WRX STI with the rally-inspired driving experience comes fitted with a six-speed manual transmission and exclusive Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) version of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Comfortable rear seats |
The WRX STI is also equipped with Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) and a Multi-Mode Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system, the latter featuring a track performance-optimized mode. All that technology plus the 305hp give the car an unmatched performance and handling capabilities.

However the sad news is that only 200 WRX sedans and 100 WRX STI will be produce before Subaru pulls the plug on this current model. However from the impressive spy shots of the new WRX and WRX STI, Subaru fans should have something impressive to talk about.
